Spring 2010 term Print E-mail

Welcome to the new Spring 2010 term.

The classes started on 18th January and at last I remembered to take the camera. This is now the third week of the term, and the weather is still blighting our attendance. Last week it was so snowy I decided to cancel. I had been in Kirkwall all day with a Transit van and we went out to Evie to pick up some archery equipment for the island. We got stuck on the Finstown to Stromness road and then later we had many attempts to get up a track to pick up the equipment but kept skidding.

As a result when we got home all Westray was full of slidy snow and more was coming down so the only sensible thing to do was to cancel the class that night. Hopefully the bad weather will not affect us again this term.

The picture below shows just four of the class. We are working in both watercolour and acrylics and sometimes in a combination of the two, plus acrylic inks. Keep watching this space to see the results (weather permitting).
